Outer Harbour
Overview
Port Adelaide Automotive Terminal is located at Outer Harbour in Adelaide, and is readily accessible by road from Victoria Road, North Haven. It is designed as a motor vehicle facility with space for 3000 export vehicles, of which 2600 are under net, and 2000 imports - 1600 of which are located within Patrick Autocare
The site complies with all Australian Customs requirements and will operate as a 24/7 facility. It will be operated as an open access regime allowing any stevedore or PDI operator to apply to operate from the terminal.
Port Adelaide Automotive Terminal operates Cargo Marshalling Services, a subsidiary Company operating to receive and manage Export Vehicles.
The Facilities
The terminal started development in May 2004, and is now complete - including 6 hectares of hailmesh.
The buildings on the site provide modern and clean amenities for stevedores, office personnel and visitors. There is 24/7 monitored and on site security supplemented with regular patrols. The main entrance is security controlled at all times. The surface of the terminal is of light structure and well maintained.
AAT have a track record of high standard facility management with state of the art IT facilities to assist customers in their logistics solutions.Port Adelaide Automotiver Terminal provides a motor vehicle tracking system, accommodating many Companies through the supply chain through EDI.
Open Access Regime
The new facilities will be operated as an open-access regime. Any stevedore or PDI operator may apply to have access to the site to service their customers. The access is on a non-discriminatory basis so that all parties are provided services to the same level.
Stevedores or PDI operators seeking access can apply through AAT who will provide a stevedore licence or PDI sub-lease as applicable.
Tariffs are published and are available to all parties seeking access to the site. The tariff will be displayed at the site and will be published on the web site.
Within the stevedore licence, dispute resolution procedures are provided to enable parties to resolve any issues that may arise.

- There are 4 Berths available for RO-RO vessels, , Berth 3&4 within the AAT facility are 364 metres combined.
- The berth has a maximum depth of 11.2 metres
